We extend a HUGE Thank You to Louise Brown who voluntarily spent many hours of her time, organizing an event and donating proceeds to the Western Cape Equine Trust’s Re-Homing Program.
Louise held a Compleat Horse Show at her stunning Vlottenburg Stables on Sunday, the 8th July, where the horses and riders were kitted out beautifully, the arenas and surrounds were pristine, the spectators were constantly entertained, and the weather was perfect!
Special congratulations go to Jenna Gulyas and her handsome Silver Honey Bear, as they trotted away with the Overall OTTB winning prize of R2 000, kindly sponsored by Ken & Jane Truter.
Special congratulations also go to Maryke Marais on her also handsome Cigano Andaluz (aka Andi) for winning the Intermediate class. Of course, we LOVE this duo as Andi, originally owned and trained by Bill Prestage, came to the WCET as an immature 3 year old in 2016. Well, what a team they are! On Sunday, even Hunter the border collie joined Maryke in the saddle for a canter and Andi just cruised around – cool dude!
Well done to all the other horses and riders for looking so well turned-out and performing so well.
